This Section contains notices of state agency rules review as directed by the 
75th Legislature, Regular Session, House Bill 1 (General Appropriations Act) 
Art. IX, Section 167. Included here are: (1) notices of plan to review; (2) 
notices of intention to review, which invite public comment to specified rules; 
and (3) notices of readoption, which summarize public comment to specified 
rules. The complete text of an agency's plan to review is available after it is 
filed with the Secretary of State on the Secretary of State's web site 
(http://www.sos.state.tx.us/texreg). The complete text of an agency's rule being

Title 16, Part II
The Public Utility Commission of Texas files this notice of intention to review 
sec.23.104 relating to Telecommunications Pricing pursuant to the Appropriations 
Act of 1997, HB 1, Article IX, Section 167 (Section 167). Project Number 18886 
has been assigned to the review of this rule section. 
As part of this review process, the commission is proposing the repeal of 
sec.23.104 and is proposing new sec.26.213 relating to Telecommunications 
Pricing to replace sec.23.104. The proposed repeal and new rules may be found in 
the Proposed Rules section of the Texas Register. As required by Section 167, 
the commission will accept comments regarding whether the reason for adopting 
the rule continues to exist in the comments filed on the proposed new section.

Commission is proposing to amend and continue to adopt the following section in

An amendment to sec.104.5 is being adopted in this issue of the Texas Register. 
The amendment will take effect May 24, 1998.

Texas Workforce Commission
Title 40, Part XX
The Texas Workforce Commission (Commission) files this notice of intention to 
review 40 TAC Chapter 807, concerning Proprietary Schools, pursuant to Chapter 
1275, Acts of the 75th Legislature, 1997, sec.5(c), and the Appropriations Act, 
article IX, sec.167. 
As part of this review process, the Commission is proposing the repeal of 
Chapter 807 and new Chapter 807, sec.sec.807.1-807.252. The new rules are a 
reorganization of the provisions with some changes to the requirements including 
simplification of the wording, removal of repetition of the statute, 
clarification of particular responsibilities and changes to requirements. For a
