The Texas Ethics Commission has been asked to consider the application of the Government Code, sec.572.058 to a member of the board of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs who is an officer of a bank that may apply to the department to participate as a lender in a board program. AOR 362. The Texas Ethics Commission has been asked to consider whether a lobby registrant may purchase real estate from a state officer if the lobby registrant pays fair market value for the real estate.
