The Texas Ethics Commission has been asked to consider the following question: Can a sitting Judge solicit campaign funds from attorneys and the general public using letterhead that shows her current judicial position and Court, if the letter contains a notation indicating that it was not printed at county expense and noting that it was "Political Advertising Paid For By the Judge [Smith] Election Committee...?" AOR-359. The Texas Ethics Commission has been asked to consider whether a former employee of the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission may work on the certification of a groundwater monitoring system when that employee reviewed and approved or supervised the review and approval of the same ground water monitoring system while employed by the agency. AOR-360. The Texas Ethics Commission has been asked to consider whether the requirement to file personal financial statements under the Government Code, Chapter 572 applies to the deans of the following institutions: (1) the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio; (2) the U.T. Dental School at San Antonio; (3) the U.T. Dental Branch at Houston; (4) the U.T. Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston; (5) the U.T. Medical School at Houston; and (6) the U.T.
