THE GOVERNOR
     As required by Texas Civil Statutes, Article 6252-13a, sec.6, the Texas 
Register publishes executive orders issued by the Governor of Texas. 
Appointments and proclamations are also published. Appointments are published in 
chronological order. Additional information on documents submitted for

Appointments Made January 17, 1996
   On December 19, 1995, Governor Bush appointed Dwight M. Deter of El Paso; 
Charles C. Harris of Midland; and Dr. Tony Gene Hedges of Littlefield to the 
Physician Assistant Advisory Council.
   The name of this council was changed to Texas State Board of Physician 
Assistant Examiners by Senate Bill 1302, 74th Legislature.
   To be a member of the Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of Directors 
for a term to expire September 5, 2001: Jack C. Sweeny, 1420 Brookwood, Diboll, 
Texas 75941. Mr. Sweeny will be replacing Harold Maxwell of Diboll whose term 
expired.
   To be a member of the Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of Directors 
for a term to expire September 5, 2001: Stewart M. Kenderdine, 8 Anderson Drive, 
Palestine, Texas 75801. Mr. Kenderdine will be replacing Wylie A. Pirkle, III of 
Larue whose term expired.
   To be a member of the Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of Directors 
for a term to expire September 5, 2001: Susan W. Heckmann, 5804 Stoneleigh 
Drive, Tyler, Texas 75703. Mrs. Heckmann will be replacing Wayland Quisenberry 
of Lufkin whose term expired.
   To be a member of the Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of Directors 
for a term to expire September 5, 1997: Margie C. Benge, 3321 Piney Point, 
Jacksonville, Texas 75766. Mrs. Benge will be filling the unexpired term of 
Barbara H. Green of Jacksonville who resigned.
   To be a member of the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers 
for a term to expire September 26, 2001: Edmundo R. Gonzalez, Jr., 1664 
Westminster, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Mr. Gonzalez will be replacing Ernest F. 
Gloyna of Austin whose term expired.
   To be a member of the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers 
for a term to expire September 26, 2001: Danny R. Perkins, 7715 Meadville, 
Houston, Texas 77061. Mr. Perkins will be replacing James G. Farbes of Fort 
Worth whose term expired.
   To be a member of the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers 
for a term to expire September 26, 2001: E. D. Dorchester, 1902 Sparks, Midland, 
Texas 79705. Mr. Dorchester will be replacing James K. Wilhelm of Houston whose 
term expired.
   To be a member of the Governing Board of the Texas School for the Deaf for a 
term to expire January 31, 2001: Aubly Lawrence (Larry) Gillett, 2673 Yale, San 
Angelo, Texas 76904. Mr. Gillett will be replacing Allan F. Bubeck, Jr. of 
Garland whose term expired.
   To be a member of the Governing Board of the Texas School for the Deaf for a 
term to expire January 31, 2001: Beatrice M. Burke, H.C. 76, Box 58, Big Spring, 
Texas 79720. Mrs. Burke is being reappointed.
   To be a member of the Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for a 
term to expire January 31, 2001: Jean Hale Matney, 5008 Cockrell, Fort Worth, 
Texas 76133. Mrs. Matney will be replacing Donald Howard England of Austin whose 
term expired.
   To be a member of the Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for a 
term to expire January 31, 2001: Eva Davie Williams, 502 Crestwood, El Lago, 
Texas 77586. Mrs. Williams will be replacing Dr. Milburn L. Coleman, III of 
Dallas whose term expired.
   To be a member of the Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for a 
term to expire January 31, 2001: Timothy B. Rarus, 15220 Quiet Pond Court, 
Austin, Texas 78728. Mr. Rarus will be replacing Michelle Bailey of Houston 
whose term expired.
