Register publishes executive orders issued by the Governor of Texas. 
Appointments and proclamations are also published.

Appointments Made July 27, 1995
      To be Branch Pilot for the Sabine Bar, Pass and Tributaries for a term to 
expire December 30, 1998: Captain Dennis E. Neef, Sabine Pilots, 5148 West 
Parkway, Groves, Texas 77619. Captain Neef is being reappointed.
      To be Branch Pilot for the Ports of the Brazos River Harbor Navigation 
District for a term to expire June 30, 1999: Captain John Gregory Gunning, 
Brazos Pilots, P.O. Box 1076, Freeport, Texas 77541. Captain Gunning is being 
reappointed.
      To be Branch Pilot for the Sabine Bar, Pass and Tributaries for a term to 
expire December 30, 1998: Captain Bobby O. Ratcliff, Sabine Pilots, 5148 West 
Parkway, Groves, Texas 77619. Captain Ratcliff is being reappointed.

reappointed.
      To be District Attorney for the 132nd Judicial District, Borden and Scurry 
Counties, until the next General Election and until her successor shall be duly 
elected and qualified: Dana W. Cooley, 2708 48th Street, Snyder, Texas 79549. 
Ms. Cooley will be replacing Ernie Armstrong of Snyder who was elevated to the 
position of Judge of the 132nd District Court.
      To be a member of the Texas Funeral Service Commission for a term to 
expire January 31, 1999: Kenneth Jerry Hughes, 620 McLain Road, Nacogdoches, 
Texas 75964. Mr. Hughes will be filling the unexpired term of Millard F. 
Zeagler, Jr. of Lufkin who was not confirmed by the Senate.
      To be a member of the State Pension Review Board for a term to expire 
January 31, 2001: Don C. Reynolds, 3400 Overton Park West, Fort Worth, Texas 
76109. Mr. Reynolds will be replacing Paul H. Weyrauch of Marble Falls whose 
term expired.
      To be a member of the Texas Optometry Board for a term to expire January 
31, 2001: Jimmy J. Bitner, 4410 Goat Creek Road, Kerrville, Texas 78028. Mr. 
Bitner is being reappointed.
      To be a member of the Texas Optometry Board for a term to expire January 
31, 2001: Carolyn R. Carman-Merrifield, O.D., 1021 Pebble Beach Drive, 
Mansfield, Texas 76063. Dr. Carman-Merrifield will be replacing Dr. Elzie Mac 
Wright6 of Seminole whose term expired.
      To be a member of the Texas Optometry Board for a term to expire January 
31, 1997: Katherine M. Garrett, P.O. Box 940, Mineral Wells, Texas 76068. Ms. 
Garrett will be filling the unexpired term of Theresa Karably Giolma of San 
Antonio who resigned.
      To be a member of the Texas Diabetes Council for a term to expire February 
1, 2001: Maria C. Alen, M.D., 817 Jonquil Avenue, McAllen, Texas 78501. Dr. Alen 
will be replacing Sydney Dale Colvill of Houston whose term expired.
      To be a member of the Texas Diabetes Council for a term to expire February 
1, 2001: Philip L. Ricks II, 1139 Bluff Forest, San Antonio, Texas 78248. Mr. 
Ricks will be replacing Dr. Charmazel Dudt of Canyon whose term expired.
      To be a member of the Texas Diabetes Council for a term to expire February 
1, 2001: Stuart Fitts, 12115 Talmay Drive, Dallas, Texas 75230. Mr. Fitts will 
be replacing Raymond G. Snokhous of Houston whose term expired.
      To be a member of the Texas Diabetes Council for a term to expire February 
1, 2001: Cheryl Jenkins Porter, 3306 West Michigan, Midland, Texas 79703-5610. 
Mrs. Porter will be replacing Elizabeth Diane Limon of San Antonio whose term 
expired.
      To be a member of the Texas Diabetes Council for a term to expire February 
1, 2001: Lawrence B. Harkless, DPM, 13103 Country Trail, San Antonio, Texas 
78216. Dr. Harkless will be replacing Kathy R. Matney of Dallas whose term 
expired.
      To be a member of the Texas Board of Nursing Facility Administrators for a 
term to expire on February 1, 2001: Please be advised that the appointment of 
Linda A. Batchelor of Mason is hereby withdrawn.
