   As required by Texas Civil Statutes, Article 6252-13a,  sec.6, the Texas 
Register publishes executive orders issued by the Governor of Texas. are 
published in Chronological order. Additional information on documents submitted

Appointments Made January 8, 1993
      To be chair of the Texas Transportation Commission at the pleasure of the 
Governor: David E. Bernsen of Beaumont. Mr. Bernsen will be replacing Raymon 
Stoker of Odessa, who resigned from the commission.
        To be a member of the Texas Transportation Commission for a term to 
expire February 1, 1993: Anne Shelmire Wynne, 2405 Pemberton Place, Austin, 
Texas 78703. Ms. Wynne will be filling the unexpired term of Raymon C. Stoker, 
Jr. of Odessa, who resigned.          

Appointments Made January 11, 1993
      To be chairman of the State Board of Education for a term to expire 
January 1, 1995: Carolyn Honea Crawford, 299 Manor, Beaumont, Texas 77706. Dr. 
Crawford is being reappointed.
        To be a member of the Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of 
Directors for a term to expire September 5, 1995: Wylie A. Pirkle, III, Route 1, 
Box 105 B, Larue, Texas 75770. Mr. Pirkle will be filling the unexpired term of 
George F. Middlebrook, III of Nacogdoches, who resigned.
        To be a member of the State Board of Registration for Professional 
Engineers for a term to expire September 26, 1997: Linda Yee Chew, 2501 Savannah 
Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79930. Ms. Chew will be filling the unexpired term of 
James Ken Newman of Dallas, who resigned.
        To be a member of the Southern Regional Education Board for a term to 
expire June 30, 1994: Rene Nunez, 819 Lakeshore Drive, El Paso, Texas 79932. Mr. 
Nunez will be filling the unexpired term of Mike Toomey of Austin, who resigned.
        To be a member of the Texas Committee for the Humanities for a term to 
expire December 31, 1994: Diana S. Natalicio, Ph.D., 711 Cincinnati Avenue, El 
Paso, Texas 79902. Dr. Natalicio is being reappointed.
        To be a member of the Texas Committee for the Humanities for a term to 
expire December 31, 1994: Martha Polan Landsman, 430 Morningside Drive, San 
Antonio, Texas 78209. Ms. Landsman is being reappointed.          

Appointments Made January 12, 1993
      To be Executive Director of the Department of Housing and Community 
Affairs for a term at the pleasure of the Governor: Enrique Flores, 6706 
Whitewing, Corpus Christi, Texas 78413. Mr. Flores will be replacing Susan J. 
Leigh of Austin, whose appointment was withdrawn.
        To be a member of the Texas Board of Private Investigators and Private 
Security Agencies for a term to expire January 31, 1997: Melissa Hirsch, 1711 
North Graham, Odessa, Texas 79763. Ms. Hirsch will be filling the unexpired term 
of Brenda Collier of Dallas, who resigned.
   Please be advised that the appointment of Susan J. Leigh as Executive 
Director of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs on March 3, 
1992, is hereby withdrawn. Ms. Leigh was serving at the pleasure of the 
Governor.
