Agencies with statewide jurisdiction must give at least seven days notice before 
an impending meeting. Institutions of higher education or political subdivisions 
covering all or part of four or more counties (regional agencies) must post 
notice at least 72 hours prior to a scheduled meeting time. Some notices may be 
received too late to be published before the meeting is held, but all notices 
are published in the Texas Register.
Emergency meetings and agendas. Any of the governmental entities named above 
must have notice of an emergency meeting, an emergency revision to an agenda, 
and the reason for such emergency posted for at least two hours before the 
meeting is convened. Emergency meeting notices filed by all governmental 
agencies will be published.
Posting of open meeting notices. All notices are posted on the bulletin board 
outside the Office of the Secretary of State on the first floor of the East Wing
