Appointments for February 11, 2004
Appointed as Judge of the 139th Judicial District Court, Hidalgo County,
for a term until the next General Election and until his successor shall be
duly elected and qualified, Ernest Aliseda of Edinburg. Aliseda will replace
Judge Leticia Hinojosa who resigned.
Appointments for February 20, 2004
Appointed as Judge of the 421st Judicial District Court in Caldwell County,
pursuant to SB 1551, 78th Legislature, Regular Session, for a term until the
next General Election and until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified,
Todd A. Blomerth.
Appointed to the Texas Racing Commission, pursuant to HB 948, 78th Legislature,
Regular Session, for a term to expire February 1, 2009, Gerald Ken Carter,
D.V.M. of Caldwell.
Appointed to the Texas Veterans Commission for a term to expire December
31, 2009, Karen Summerfield Rankin, BGen, USAF (Retired) of San Antonio (replacing
John Brieden of Brenham who resigned).
Appointed Phil Wilson as designee and Jeffrey Moseley, Chief Executive
Officer of the Economic Development and Tourism Division of the Office of
the Governor, to serve as Ex-Officio/Non-Voting members of the Texas Economic
Development Corporation, pursuant to SB 275, 78th Legislature, Regular Session,
for terms at the pleasure of the Governor.
Appointment for February 24, 2004
Appointed to the State Securities Board for a term to expire January 20,
2007, Beth Ann Blackwood of Dallas (replacing Nicolas Taylor of Midland whose
term expired).
