Appointed to the Texas Emancipation Juneteenth Cultural and Historical Commission for a term to expire February 1, 2009, Byron E. Miller of San Antonio (Mr. Miller is being reappointed).

Appointments for April 6, 2004

Appointed as District Attorney for the 145th Judicial District, Nacogdoches County for a term until the next General Election and until her successor shall be duly elected and qualified, Stephanie K. Stephens of Nacogdoches. Ms. Stephens is replacing Ed Klein who was appointed as Judge of the 420th Judicial District Court.

Appointed as District Attorney for the 258th Judicial District, Trinity County for a term until the next General Election and until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified, Joe Ned Dean of Trinity. Mr. Dean is replacing Joe Price who is deceased.

Appointed to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education for a term to expire August 30, 2005, Charles R. Hall of Midland (replacing David James of Carrollton whose term expired).
