Executive Order RP 22
Relating to the official receipt of reports, final
dismissal of charges, and general commendation of council, commission and
task force members for service to the State
WHEREAS, during the past two years, I have created and appointed various
groups to study important issues to the State concerning homeland security,
crime prevention, economic development, and science and biotechnology; and
WHEREAS, the members of these groups have worked diligently on the issues
placed before them and have produced their findings to my office; and
WHEREAS, these findings and reports will contribute to the discussion and
debate on the future of our great State;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Rick Perry, Governor of the State of Texas, by virtue
of the power and authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the
State of Texas, do hereby order the following:
1. Dismissal. The Governor's Task Force on Homeland Security, the Governor's
Council on Science and Biotechnology Development, the Governor's Task Force
for Economic Growth, and the Governor's Anti-Crime Commission are hereby dismissed
with my sincere thanks and deep appreciation.
2. Commendation. The members and staff of these groups are hereby commended
for their hard work and dedication to the people of Texas through their collective
and individual work on each of these important issues.
This order is effective immediately and supercedes Executive Orders RP-8,
RP-10, RP-11, and RP-15. This order shall remain in effect and in full force
until modified, amended, rescinded, or superseded by me or by a succeeding
Governor.
