Effective September 1, 2001, the operation of several Texas
Department of Health Medicaid programs was transferred to the Texas Health
and Human Services Commission, which is the single state agency for the administration
of the Texas Medical Assistance (Medicaid) program. (42 U.S.C. §1396a;
42 C.F.R. §431.10b (2000); and Tex. Gov't. Code Ann. §531.021(a)
and §531.0055(b)(1). See Senate Bill 509, 74th Legislature, 1995.)
As a result of the transfer, Title 25, Part 1, §§30.21-30.30
and 30.32 are being moved to Title 1, Part 15, Chapter 353, Subchapter E.
They will be renumbered as §§353.401-353.403, 353.405, 353.407,
353.409, 353.411, 353.413, 353.415, 353.417, and 353.419.
