22 TAC §595.14
The Structural Pest Control Board adopts amendments to §595.14
without changes to the proposed text published in the March 17, 2000, issue
of the
Texas Register
(25 TexReg 2278).
Justification for the rule is the clarification of those provisions that
allow the pest control industry to employ those methods that minimize exposure
to chemical pesticides through the application of Integrated Pest Management
principles.
The rule will function in that the amendment specifies on the Consumer
Information Sheet for Reduced Impact that regular inspection of lawn areas
for early detection of pest presence is essential to IPM.
There were no comments received.
There were no groups or associations making comments for or against the
rule.
The amendment is adopted under Tex.Rev.Civ.Stat.Ann., Article
135b-6, which provides the Structural Pest Control Board with the authority
to license and regulate the structural pest control industry.
This agency hereby certifies that the adoption has been reviewed
by legal counsel and found to be a valid exercise of the agency's legal authority.
Filed with the Office of
the Secretary of State on May 23, 2000.
