31 TAC §51.60
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission adopts new 31 TAC §51.60,
concerning Authority to Contract for Public Works, without changes to the
proposed text as published in the October 15, 1999, issue of the
Texas Register
(24 TexReg 8916).
The new section is necessary to implement the provisions of Senate Bill
874, Acts of the 76th Texas Legislature, 1999, which requires the commission
to adopt policies and procedures consistent with applicable state procurement
practices for soliciting and awarding contracts.
The new section will function by codifying the intent of the legislature
within the Texas Administrative Code.
The department received no comments concerning adoption of the proposed
new section.
The new section is adopted under Parks and Wildlife Code, Chapter
11, Subchapter B, which requires the commission to adopt policies and procedures
consistent with applicable state procurement practices for soliciting and
awarding the contracts.
This agency hereby certifies that the adoption has been reviewed
by legal counsel and found to be a valid exercise of the agency's legal authority.
