Chapter 365. TYPES OF LICENSES

40 TAC §365.1

The Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners adopts the amendment to §365.1, Types of Licenses, without change to the proposed text as published in the July 30, 1999, issue of the Texas Register (24 TexReg 5859).

The amendment is being adopted to achieve greater administrative efficiency and a to eliminate confusing terminology.

The amendment eliminates superfluous cross-reference language and reflect changes made in §367.1, Continuing Education.

No comments were received regarding the amendment of this section.

The rule is adopted under the Occupational Therapy Practice Act, Title 3, Subtitle H, Chapter 452, Occupations Code, which provides the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners with the authority to adopt rules consistent with this Act to carry out its duties in administering this Act.

Chapter 366. APPLICATION FOR LICENSE

40 TAC §366.1

The Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners adopts the amendment to §366.1, Application for License, without change to the proposed text as published in the July 30, 1999, issue of the Texas Register (24 TexReg 5860).

The amendment is being adopted to achieve greater administrative efficiency and a reduction in confusing terminology.

The amendment eliminates superfluous cross-reference language.

Chapter 367. CONTINUING EDUCATION

40 TAC §367.1

The Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners adopts the amendment to §367.1, Continuing Education, without change to the proposed text as published in the July 30,1999, issue of the Texas Register (24 TexReg 5861).

The amendment is being adopted to achieve greater administrative efficiency and a reduction in confusing terminology.

The amendment adds an audit procedure to test compliance with the rules, clarify the kinds of activities/courses accepted by the Board, simplify the calculation of credits, and eliminate superfluous cross-reference language.

No comments were received regarding adoption of the amendment.

The rule is adopted under the Occupational Therapy Practice Act, Title 3, Subtitle H, Chapter 452, Occupations Code, which provides the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners with the authority to adopt rules consistent with this Act to carry out its duties in administering this Act.

Chapter 371. INACTIVE/RETIREE STATUS

40 TAC §371.1

The Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners adopts the amendment to §371.1 Inactive/Retiree Status, without change to the proposed text as published in the July 30,1999, issue of the Texas Register (24 TexReg 5862).

The amendment is being adopted to achieve greater administrative efficiency and a reduction in confusing terminology.

The amendment allows inactive licensees to use a professional designation, and eliminate superfluous cross-reference language.

The rule is adopted under the Occupational Therapy Practice Act, Title 3, Subtitle H, Chapter 452, Occupations Code, which provides the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners with the authority to adopt rules consistent with this Act to carry out its duties in administering this Act.
