34 TAC §§13.1, 13.2, 13.4-13.15
The Comptroller of Public Accounts adopts the repeal of §§13.1,
13.2, 13.4-13.15, concerning certain administrative functions under the unclaimed
property statutes, Title 6, Property Code, without changes to the proposed
text as published in the October 16,1998, issue of the
Texas Register
(23 TexReg 10621).
These rules are being repealed because they are obsolete or duplicative
of the Property Code, Title 6.
No comments were received regarding adoption of the repeals.
These repeals are adopted under the Property Code, §74.701,
which provides the comptroller with the authority to prescribe, adopt, and
enforce rules relating to the administration and enforcement of the provisions
of the Property Code, Title 6.
The repeals implement the Property Code, Title 6.
This agency hereby certifies that the adoption has been reviewed
by legal counsel and found to be a valid exercise of the agency's legal authority.
