The Texas Ethics Commission has been asked whether the Texas Commission on the Arts is a "regulatory agency" for purposes of the revolving door prohibitions set out in Texas Civil Statutes, Article 6252-9b, sec.7A. AOR-178. The Texas Ethics Commission has been asked to consider whether a professional association may hire a legislator as a staff person, and, if so, whether certain job duties may be assigned to the legislator. AOR-179. The Texas Ethics Commission has been asked to consider whether a legislator may contract to collect delinquent taxes on behalf of a political subdivision.
