Appointments Made November 9, 1992
      To be a member of the Texas Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle 
Commission for a term to expire January 31, 1997: T. J. Connolly, 104 Lullwood, 
San Antonio, Texas 78212. Mr. Connolly is being appointed pursuant to Vernon's 
Civil Statutes, Article 4413(36).
        To be chair of the Texas Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle 
Commission for a term at the pleasure of the Governor: T. J. Connolly of San 
Antonio. Mr. Connolly is being appointed chair pursuant to Vernon's Civil 
Statutes, Article 4413(36).
        To be a member of the Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of 
Directors for a term to expire September 5, 1997: Paul H. (Pete) Smith, P. O. 
Box 630808, Nacogdoches, Texas 75963. Mr. Smith will be replacing Walter L. Volz 
of Jacksonville, whose term expired.
        To be a member of the Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of 
Directors for a term to expire September 5, 1993: John Phillip Friesen, 405 
Muirfield, Lufkin, Texas 75901. Mr. Friesen will be filling the unexpired term 
of Joe Echols Rich of Lufkin, who resigned.
        To be a member of the Upper Colorado River Authority Board of Directors 
for a term to expire February 1, 1993: Ruby N. Gutierrez, 126 Loch Lomond, San 
Angelo, Texas 76901. Ms. Guttierez will be filling the unexpired term of Carl S. 
Strain of San Angelo, who resigned.
        To be a member of the Texas Commission on the Arts for a term to expire 
August 31, 1993: Raymond Donald Nasher, 4701 Miron Drive, Dallas, Texas 75220. 
Mr. Nasher will be filling the unexpired term of Annette Strake of Houston, who 
resigned.
        To be a member of the Texas Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle 
Commission for a term to expire January 31, 1995: Delma J. Abalos, 2349 Berry 
Road, Odessa, Texas 79763. Ms. Abalos is being appointed pursuant to Vernon's 
Civil Statutes, Article 4413(36).
        To be a member of the Texas Transportation Motor Vehicle Commission for 
a term to expire January 31, 1997: Robyn Ray Brumbelow, 512 East Young, 
Longview, Texas 75602. Ms. Brumbelow is being appointed pursuant to Vernon's 
Civil Statutes, Article 4413(36).
        To be a member of the Texas Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle 
Commission for a term to expire January 31, 1993: Laurie Brown Watson, 3400 
Timberwood Circle, Austin, Texas 78703. Ms. Watson is being appointed pursuant 
to Vernon's Civil Statutes, Article 4413(36).
        To be a member of the Texas Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle 
Commission for a term to expire January 31, 1993: Stephen Paul Webb, 1514 West 
30th, Austin, Texas 78703. Mr. Webb is being appointed pursuant to Vernon's 
Civil Statutes, Article 4413(36).
        To be a member of the Board of Pilot Commissioners for the Ports of 
Galveston County for a term to expire February 1, 1996: Dr. Darvin M. Winick, 
Route 2, Box 730, Dickinson, Texas 77539. Dr. Winick will be replacing Michael 
B. Hughes of Galveston, whose term expired.
        To be a member of the Board of Pilot Commissioners for the Ports of 
Galveston County for a term to expire February 1, 1995: Charles Clifford (Cliff) 
Burks, 310 Tahiti Route 2, Galveston, Texas 77554. Mr. Burks will be replacing 
James F. Nowlin, Jr. of Friendswood, whose term is expired.
        To be a member of the Board of Pilot Commissioners for the Ports of 
Galveston County for a term to expire February 1, 1996: Frank T. Crews, Jr., 
1412 Sealy, Galveston, Texas 77550. Mr. Crews will be replacing Sidney C. 
Farmer, III of Galveston, whose term expired.
        To be a member of the Board of Pilot Commissioners for the Ports of 
Galveston County for a term to expire February 1, 1995: Robert Higgins, 306 
Bayou Drive, Dickinson, Texas 77539. Mr. Higgins will be replacing Wayne 
Faircloth, Jr. of Dickinson, whose term expired.
        To be a member of the Branch Pilot for Galveston Bar and the Houston 
Ship Channel for a term to expire September 18, 1996: Captain Jack W. Rowland, 
930 Plantation Drive, League City, Texas 77573. Captain Rowland is being 
reappointed.

Appointments Made November 10, 1992
      To be Judge of the 165th Judicial District Court, Harris County for a term 
to expire December 31, 1992: Elizabeth Ray, 4001 Milton Street, Houston, Texas 
77002. Ms. Ray will be filling the unexpired term of Judge Ken Harrison of 
Houston, who retired. She was elected to this judgeship in the General Election, 
effective January 1, 1993.
