sec.1.29, to issue advisory
opinions in regard to
the following statutes: Texas
Civil Statutes, Article 6252-9b;
the Government Code, Chapter
302; the Government Code,
Chapter 305; the Election
Code, Title 15; the Penal
Code, Chapter 36; and
the Penal Code, Chapter
39.

Opinion Requests





AOR-103. A Texas
City has asked whether
it may provide certain
goods and services to
state legislators. The city
provides informational pamphlets,
free parking, free library
use, and free use of
recreational facilities such as
golf courses and tennis
courts. The city also
provides "assistance in securing
water/wastewater and electric connections."
The city also hosts a
luncheon for certain members
and their spouses.
