Appointments Made June 12, 1992





To be Commissioner of Health
and Human Services for a term to
expire February 1, 1993 to be effective at 8 a.m. on June 15,
1992: Richard C. Ladd, in care of Governor's Office, P.O. Box
12428, Austin, Texas 78711. Mr. Ladd will be filling the unexpired
term of Kathleen Hamilton of Austin who resigned.







Pursuant to the Texas Government Code, sec.26.012, the Honorable
T. W. Johnson, County Judge, Mills County, previously had certified
his disqualification to act as county judge in the following
case pending in the Mills County Court: Cause Number 2477, Estate
of Lillian L. Gatlin, In the County Court of Mills County, Texas.
Judge Johnson has requested the appointment of a special judge
to hear this matter. I do hereby appoint Gerald G. Hale of Mills
County, to act as special county judge in the above-numbered
case, and respectfully request that you issue a commission to
Mr. Hale for that purpose.
