The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (Department) files this
notice of intent to review and consider for readoption, revision, or repeal,
Title 16, Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 66, Registration of Property
Tax Consultants. This review and consideration is being conducted in accordance
with the requirements of Texas Government Code, §2001.039.
An assessment will be made by the Department as to whether the reasons
for adopting or readopting these rules continue to exist. Each rule will be
reviewed to determine whether it is obsolete, whether the rule reflects current
legal and policy considerations, and whether the rule reflects current procedures
of the Department.
Any questions or written comments pertaining to this rule review may be

The Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) files this notice of intention
to review and to consider for readoption, amendment, or repeal the rule chapters
in Title 34, Part 3, of the Texas Administrative Code: Chapter 21 (Purpose
and Scope), Chapter 23 (Administrative Procedures), Chapter 25 (Membership
Credit), Chapter 27 (Termination of Membership and Refunds), Chapter 29 (Benefits),
Chapter 31 (Employment After Retirement), Chapter 33 (Legal Capacity), Chapter
35 (Payments by TRS), Chapter 39 (Proof of Age), Chapter 41 (Health Care and
Insurance Programs), Chapter 43 (Contested Cases), Chapter 47 (Qualified Domestic
Relations Orders), Chapter 49 (Collection of Delinquent Obligations), and
Chapter 51 (General Administration). This review and consideration is being
conducted in accordance with §2001.039 of the Texas Government Code.
The review will include, at a minimum, an assessment as to whether the reasons
for adopting or readopting the rules in these chapters continue to exist.
TRS has previously filed a rule review plan, which is available on the Secretary
of State’s Web site at www.sos.state.tx.us.
Written comments pertaining to this proposed rule review must be submitted
to Ronnie Jung, Executive Director, Teacher Retirement System of Texas, 1000
Red River Street, Austin, Texas 78701. The deadline for written comments is
30 days after publication of this notice in the
Texas Register
. Any changes to these rules proposed because of the
rule review will be published for public comment in the Proposed Rules section
of one or more future issues of the
Texas Register
and adopted in accordance with the requirements of the Administrative
Procedure Act, Chapter 2001 of the Texas Government Code. The public will
be given the opportunity to comment on the proposed rule review and any proposed
rule changes arising out of the review at upcoming meetings of the TRS Board
of Trustees.
