The Texas Historical Commission adopts an amendment to Chapter
21, §21.31 (related to awards granted by the Texas Historical Commission)
concerning the granting of awards and the award selection process without
changes to the text as published in the March 8, 2002, issue of the
The amendment is adopted as a means of simplifying the nominations and
selection process.
No comments were received regarding adoption of the amendment.
The amendment is adopted under Texas Government Code, §442.005(q)
that authorizes the Texas Historical Commission to promulgate rules to carry
out the intent of this chapter and associated legislative mandates.
This agency hereby certifies that the adoption has been reviewed
by legal counsel and found to be a valid exercise of the agency's legal authority.
