10 TAC §1.13
The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs adopts
new §1.13, without changes, as published in the May 3, 2002, issue of
the
Texas Register
(27 TexReg 3662), concerning
the certification with certain laws prohibiting discrimination required of
housing applicants and the sanctions for noncompliance, and therefore, will
not be republished.
This section is necessary to comply with §2306.257 of the Texas Government
Code, as added by SB 322, 77th Session of the Texas Legislature and as a result
of enforcing this section, there will be the increased likelihood of affordable
housing available to all free of discrimination.
No comments were received concerning this new rule.
The new section is proposed pursuant to authority of the Texas
Government Code, Chapter 2306.
No other codes, articles or statute are affected by the proposed new section.
This agency hereby certifies that the adoption has been reviewed
by legal counsel and found to be a valid exercise of the agency's legal authority.
