The Public Utility Commission of Texas files this notice of intention to
review §23.1 relating to Purpose and Scope of Rules; §23.2 relating
to Severability Clause; and §23.4 relating to Statement of Nondiscrimination
pursuant to the Appropriations Act of 1997, HB 1, Article IX, Section 167
(Section 167). The review of §§23.1, 23.2 and 23.4 will be conducted
under Project Number 17709.
As part of this review process, the commission is proposing the repeal
of §§23.1, 23.2 and 23.4 and is proposing new rule §25.1, relating
to Purpose and Scope of Rules, §25.3 relating to Severability Clause
and §25.4 relating to Statement of Nondiscrimination in Chapter 25 relating
to Substantive Rules Applicable to Electric Service Providers; and new rule
§26.1, relating to Purpose and Scope of Rules, §26.3 relating to
Severability Clause and §26.4 relating to Statement of Nondiscrimination
in Chapter 26 relating to Substantive Rules Applicable to Telecommunications
Service Providers to replace these rule sections. The proposed repeals and
new rules may be found in the Proposed Rules section of the
Texas Register
. As required by Section 167, the commission will accept
comments regarding whether the reason for adopting the rules continues to
exist in the comments filed on the proposed new rule sections.

Notice of Proposed Review of Rule
The Texas State Board of Pharmacy proposes to review Chapter 291. Pharmacies,
Sections 291.51 - 291.54 in accordance with the Appropriations Act, Section
167. In conjunction with this review, the agency proposes to repeal the existing
Sections 291.51 - 291.54 and propose new Sections 291.51 - 291.55 in accordance
with the Appropriations Act, Section 167. The proposed new rules are published
in the Proposed Rule Section of the January 2, 1998 issue of the
Texas Register.

Chapter 305. Education Requirements
Notice of Proposed Review of Rules
The Texas State Board of Pharmacy proposes to review Chapter 305, Section
305.1 in accordance with the Appropriations Act, Section 167. The agency
has proposed an amendment to this section which will incorporate changes made
by SB 609 passed by the 75thTexas Legislature. Other than this amendment,
the agency's reason for adopting the rules contained in this chapter continues
to exist.
The language of the proposed amendment is published in the Proposed Section
of the January 2, 1998 issue of the
Texas Register.
